“It seems as though I have followed Shannon from job to job. I knew her at the Shelburne Athletic Club then Pilates Studio and now Pilates Den. To me that says a lot about her right there-because she is an incredible instructor-I go where she is! Shannon has always had a way of explaining an exercise or a Pilates move that makes sense to me. She talks about how it should feel-what body part it is working-and how to imagine it all together. She listens. She is upbeat and friendly.”
“I look forward to my Wednesday Pilates appointment with Shannon.I am excited to go and always feel great afterwards.Shannon puts a lot of thought into that day’s program.She listens to my most current ailment and modifies the work out with those issues in mind.The lesson plans seem to build on each other week to week-keeping in mind my specific physical restrictions.She is contact with my physical therapist.Sometimes we talk several days before the lesson to see if there are certain movements that bothered my body at the last lesson. Shannon knows a lot about the body and how it works and notices weaknesses as well as strengths.Her studio space is open and fresh and she has all the equipment to mix up her lesson plans.I began with private lessons after an ACL repair and as I progressed Shannon talked with me about doing a semi private lesson every other week.This has worked out great.My partner is a good match for me personality wise as well as skill level plus she gives a different spin to the lesson.”
